Geovireo

Geovireo is an importer and distributor of erosion control and landscaping products primarily made of coir, a tough but environmentally friendly fiber made from coconuts.

The Problem

Geovireo needed an entirely new ecommerce website built from the ground up with a custom website design based on their existing branding and logo.  In addition to the usual ecommerce requirements, Geovireo needed to extend standard shopping cart functionality to allow customers to attach specifications to their orders and allow customers to request quotes for shipping due to the heavy and bulky nature of their merchandise.

Our Solution

We selected design elements to help Geovireo pick the general look that they liked, and modified the web design to fit their logo.  We started with a stock open-source ecommerce system called Magento, and added custom functionality in the form of plugins to support the unique quote and specifications upload features required by Geovireo.
