Be afraid, be very afraid!
Well, as most patriotic Americans know Boston came under siege from terrorists this week. The perpetrators at large being the "mooninites". Some might ask is this some religious extremist group? It would be nice but unfortunately that is not the case, they are cartoon characters. Yes, cartoon characters instilled fear in the hearts of Bostonians. The portrayed "improvised explosive devices" were L.E.D. caricatures of these characters. Apparently a "concerned citizen" reported one of these suspicious boxes and the severity of the threat became apparent when more were found throughout the city. The only thing to do was shut Boston down. As stated in the norton post we happen to be fans of the cartoon. Is it for eveyone? Probably not but, humor is where you find it. Which cartoon it was is kind of irrelevant here, it could have been Tennessee Tuxedo for all I care. What is important is to consider that some people in advertising could be looking at 3-5 years! Instead of Boston owning up and saying "we all messed up, sorry for the scare" they decided that it would serve better to charge these advertising agents like they had intentions to do harm.

Where will this end, when i decide to pitch one of my old desktops and leave it by the curb will a "concerned citizen" call in and report my old P.C. as a "suspicious looking object"? Will Atlanta be brought to halt when the city discovers there are other computers sitting by curbs throughout the city? More likely somebody will pick it up and see if there is anything useful left in it but, theres always a chance that a trembling in their boots citizen will knock the first domino over with a phone call. At least we are safe though, I would hate to think the department of homeland security would be taken off their cartoon character concerns to have to do irrelevant things like checking sea-crates for bombs or looking into a suspicious truck parked downtown.

I would like to think that some of our efforts could be put into trying to figure out how to quit making enemies, you know like quit selling people arms and then deciding that they don't support our best interests any more so the only recourse is to hang their leader and bomb them, I guess bombs work better though. Stepping away from sarcasm, I guess I will turn this over to bwoods and let him do a little talking about the cartoon network's event "design at play" he went to last night as it pertains to our blogs usual subject matter. For the people in the know, I hope the city of Boston can see this because I'm doing it as hard as I can... and they can super-size it for 39 cents. If you don't understand that statement do a little research on the "mooninties" and the humor of this event will become more apparent.
