02/05: NHRA Company Trip!

So every year we go on a Company Employee Relationship Building Trip to our favorite event NHRA Drag Racing!
We have this planned out about a year in advance and this year was no exception and we went bigger and better this year than most. We started out in Asheville first to have some fun, and meet some locals along with test out a couple breweries. Needless to say we met some great people and had some amazing beers! The next morning we rolled out of bed and headed out to Atlanta Dragway to see the Summit Racing NHRA Drag Races for some tailgating and Nitro Fumes.

Now, I know what you thinking "Drag Racing?!?!? Thats so boring!" I can't watch Drag Racing on TV either, because its nowhere near the same thing. The thrill is only there if you stand right next to those things as they go off. You feel this pulse through your body when one of those cars goes by at 300+ MPH doing a 1/4 mile in under 4 seconds is a mind-blowing experience. I just can't begin to explain, its like sitting in a high powered massage chair for a second at a time and your 100ft away from the cars. Don't forget your ear plugs! But thats not all its about either, its also a great place to meet some amazing people. And again we met some great people, who fed us some great steaks, shrimp, burgers and crab (Thanks again Willie, we'll meet back up in Newnan like we promised!) All in All Best Company Trip EVER!
