Purchasing things online can be risky. I have had good and bad experiences so I like to give credit where credit is due.
In an age where doing business online is becoming more and more common most have had their share of good experiences and bad. Normally I only take the time to cover the bad. Once in a blue moon I have an experience with a business that merits singing praise. Seldom ever do I see anyone bend over backwards to make a customer happy. Earlstees.com impressed me on so many fronts I felt compelled to share my story. After all an online company going above and beyond the call of duty is something of a rarity anymore.

My story starts with a simple item, a Handbanana T-shirt. I understand that not all people will understand who or what a "handbanana" is so I'll just say if you don't know you should give Aqua teen hunger force a try. It's a cartoon that I think is hilarious but some might find rather distasteful. When I saw the handbanana T-shirt, for me it was a must have.

I ordered it for the (what I felt to be very fair price including shipping) price of $14.94 USD, a good bit cheaper than cafe press or any other place I have bought a T-shirt from online. It was not even a week later that I checked my mail box and the shirt was in! Quick shipping by any standards. I was very happy and opened it immediately. I was quite displeased when I opened it to find a shirt of great quality with something I did not want on it. Earlstees.com was printed on the front. Normally this would not have been a problem but my issue was that it was not shown or stated on the website that would be on the shirt. Much less right under the main graphic. Had I received the shirt for free as a promo that's one thing but when I pay for something I want nothing more and nothing less than shown or described. I don't like logo's or advertisements on the things I wear and never buy clothing with them.

When I am unhappy with a product the first thing I do is let them (the manufacturer) know. I sent them an email expecting not to get a reply and be stuck with a product I no longer wanted. It would not be the first time. That was not at all the case, I got an immediate reply. I was impressed by this regardless of what transpired. I was told that I was rather harsh (I'm sure I was because I was rather angry about this and my first email was very detailed as to why I was) and that they were willing to work with me. So just how did they work with me?

1. Sent me another shirt without the company website printed on the front at no additional charge that arrived within the week! WOW
2. Went through their website and removed earlstees.com from every image.
3. Got rid of the policy of putting it on every shirt they sell.
4. Gave me a sincere apology.

I'm speechless...
I wore the T-shirt around on the 4th of July and it struck up conversations with a lot of ATHF fans. I also proudly told them where I purchased it and the story told here.

In closing all I can say is this. I am not getting paid to write this. I just appreciate online merchants with a commitment to customer satisfaction. I have had enough bad experiences that it's refreshing to have a good one. I really feel the steps they took will also help their business grow because I feel that I am not the only one who is anti advertisements (at least on what I wear that's not given to me). So check out earlstees.com if you like funny T-shirts and I am sure you will be pleased with your shopping experience and product. And of course thank you Kevin at earlstees!
